This waterfall is located in a biological reserve with an area of 210 hectares, of pre-montane transitional humid tropical forest, is part of the Arenal Volcano National Park and is located 520 meters above sea level, where the springs of our mountains and the waters of the Fortuna river.
Guided walk to La Fortuna Waterfall
Within this forest reserve is the Cerro de los Perdidos, the Plates of May and Cerro Chato, which are supported on rocky bases of great geological value, originating at the same time an exuberant vegetation and scenic beauty.

To observe this magnificent waterfall 70 meters high, the visitor must overcome a road of approximately 530 steps, for which it offers the greatest security in its path and comfortable resting and hydration areas, through a forest with native trees of the area.
Once in front of the Catarata, you will find a wide and comfortable viewpoint from which you can freeze your memories through unique and unprecedented photographs, and finally you can take a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters of the Fortuna River and with a unique witness, the Waterfall
