Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica!

Upon arrival at the Juan Santamaría International Airport, our identified driver will be waiting for you at the exit with a sign with your name to take you to your hotel in San José. The hotel name is Country Inn & Suites, at 25 minutes away.

Day 2: Going to Arenal Volcano area

You must to be ready early morning because you will going to know a special place like is La Fortuna. The shared transportation will take around 4 hours to arrives at Volcano Lodge Thermal Experience. Here you will enjoy of free natural hot springs pools open 24 hours just  for the guest.

The nearest town is La Fortuna, a small center that in recent years has become a tourist center and where you will find everything you need: shops, banks, supermarkets, laundries, pharmacies and a wide and striking gastronomic proposal. Although the area is highly developed and its hotel and activities offer is large, you will not find international chains of any kind since the inhabitants of the area; mostly prosperous farmers or farmers, turned their farms into hotels or tourism projects, giving the entire region a true Costa Rican flavor.

Day 3: Hanging bridges guided tour

The Arenal Volcano is one of the main attractions of a region that has become a mandatory destination for those who want to visit the country. Located northwest of Costa Rica, it is a very important tourist and adventure center.

In the morning you will go to one of the most visited places in La Fortuna. We talk about Hanging Bridges. So prepare your camera for a 2-hour walk where you will see a lot animals.

Day 4: Free day to do activities

As we know that you are an adventurer, we have decided to give you a full day off to practice the best activities in La Fortuna or spend your day off in the hot springs pools of the hotel.

Day 5: Manuel Antonio natural essential 

It is one of the most complete destinations in Costa Rica that guarantees that your last days of vacation are pleasant and relaxed. A wildlife sanctuary that has it all! This area has beautiful beaches, clean and warm waters, amazing forests, abundant variety of animals; to a very complete menu of activities ranging from extreme adventure to experiences with Costa Rican farmers.

On the route to the town you will find numerous restaurants and bars of all kinds. There are also hotels that have wonderful views of the sea and the forest in their rooms. With a lush tropical nature, it offers abundant wildlife where it is easy to see monkeys, sloths, coatis, agoutis and iguanas in the area.

 

Manuel Antonio National Park is CLOSED on Mondays.

Day 6: Manuel Antonio National Park

Walking trails surrounded by wildlife and resting on paradisiacal beaches are options that promise to captivate your senses.The magic of the beach and the greenery of the forest come together in one place, and the result is a natural paradise.

In addition to beaches, the Park offers a very humid tropical forest where species of flora and fauna in danger of extinction, a mangrove, marine environments, islands and a lagoon of 14 hectares coexist.
 
In a short journey you can cross several paths that will take you through a primary forest. You will also have stunning views of the sea and you can enjoy the wildlife that can be found at all times.

Day 7: Free day for activities  

These days we leave you so you can simply relax, enjoy the beautiful climate of the area, the pool, and the hotel facilities. Although if you are still planning to know and experience the nature and adventure of Manuel Antonio and Costa Rica you can still organize tours of all kinds.

If you love adventure, Manuel Antonio has a lot to give you, zip lines through virgin forests with the seascape in the background, kayaks in the sea or in the mangrove, paragliding to observe the forest, the coast and the nearby islands. Rafting on rivers surrounded by intact jungles or a jump to a lagoon from a waterfall.

If you are fascinated by water, you will find snorkeling and diving, surf and paddleboard schools, tours to see whales and dolphins or artisanal fishing, sailboats and catamarans that will guarantee you wonderful views (catamaran or sailboat tours depend on the weather and the season).

The sunsets in Manuel Antonio are spectacular and it is always a good idea to organize something for this last tropical sunset before returning home

Day 8: Head Home

A private transfer will take you to San José International Airport SJO where you will catch your flight back home. We’ll definitely miss you!

Located in the middle of the city just 25 minutes from Int SJO Airport. Enjoy a comfortable room, with wifi and work area. Breakfast is included and there is a gym available.

The refreshing mountain air, abundant flora and fauna and countless birds is what you can expect during this visit. Observing and exploring the Arenal Volcano is a unique experience for its visitors!
